Dog-like is an ongoing investigation into animals considered to be 'dog-like'. While living in Norfolk, UK, I often encountered seals, foxes and muntjak deer, all of which are considered 'dog-like'. Muntjaks 'bark' in a dog like manner, and sculk nurvously behind trees, staring you down like a timid dog. I have watched dogs swiming with seals in the North Sea. As they play together, it is hard to tell them apart from their profiles and behaviour. During time spent along The Wash, and on Bass Rock (a North Sea island off the coast of East Lothian, Scotland), seals have swam quietly up to me, and kept loyal company.
